Joseph became popular on the international dance scene for his natural authentic style, musicality and originality in his social dancing as well as teaching. His exciting and innovative style of teaching is described as very clear, energetic, inspiring, fun, informative and very friendly, with a knack of making the most complex moves, concepts and techniques, seem very simple. His class material focuses on style, techniques, rhythm, musicality, body awareness, improvisation, with original and creative moves that can be used on the social dance floor. Constantly exploring new ideas, their dance styles primarily include, Lindy Hop, Blues, 20's Charleston, Tap, Authentic Jazz movement, Black Bottom, Balboa, Jive, Salsa, Street dancing, Jazz Funk.
Joseph specialises in making the average student, dance feeling like a champion. So whether you're an advanced dancer or absolute beginner, you'll leave his classes motivated, like you've just seen a kung fu movie!
Charlotte Middlemiss:
As a Sports Therapy student at the University of Hertfordshire, Charlotte has a keen understanding of how the body works. Dancing for as long as she can remember, she has a background in contemporary dance, Tap, Jive, 20's Charleston with a natural flair for Authentic Jazz, but of course her main passion is Lindy Hop, with a real fun teaching style, focusing on followers technique and styling. Recently, she achieved first place in the international PSSF completion in 2008 and has been teaching all over the UK and internationally for the last 3 years. She is now part of the UK's latest Authentic Jazz dance group,'Swing Attack'.
